63rd Annual Emmy Awards

I't was all red on the red carpet at the Emmys last week. The beautiful starlets grazed the carpet with soft and fierce sophistication. I loved the blend of colors this year. Not many I hated so Im just going to concentrate on the ones I loved.

Fashions Night Out 2011

This year I had an awesome time for FNO. I was able to make a couple of stops to several stores and enjoy the festivities.

My first stop was the Guess by Marciano store where free cup cakes were being given out. These were so yummy. They were made of chocolate with vanilla icing. So cute !

My Second stop was Zara on 5th ave. The DJ there played popular club songs while waiters served champagne and people shopped the Fall'11 collection.

My last stop was the main event of the evening. I was invited to the Versace FNO party featuring rapper/DJ artist Drake. He was the DJ for the night and rapper Nikki Minaj made a guest appearance. All the known editors from top magazines and people in the industry mingled while taking photos with live models parading around the store in the Fall'11 collection while drake played his favorite tunes. It was a fabulous event!!

Feelings of Alexander McQueen and Ralph

I enjoy bringing runway styles to the real world of everyday realistic fashion and yesterday that is exactly what I did. I was inspired by Alexander McQueen and his great exhibition to which I had the pleasure of visiting twice! It was an amazing experience and I will never forget it. My outfit is very much inspired by him and I mixed it up with a Ralph Lauren feel by adding a denim top, brown leather belt and turquoise jewels. This lace maxi skirt was so much fun to wear! It just flows with you as you walk very romantic as Alexander would have said.

Fall is almost here! Time to prepare!

This week has been so gloomy and rainy day all Ive wanted to do is curl up in my room next to my sewing machine and work on some of my upcoming projects and due to hurricane Irene I get the chance. Its beginning to feel like fall more and more everyday. I'm actually excited because I'm a  fall baby! There is so much going on in the month of September, fashion week, fashions night out and yes my B-day. Most of all its the time when I begin to tweak my wardrobe and prepare for chic chilly nights of glam dinners and fun socials. This year my obsession is Michael Kors! He is one of my favorite designers and his fall line is to die. I decide to kick off the fall spirit with his new suede booties. Ive also already created a list of MK accessories I desperately need asap (lol).

Guess by Marciano & Harper's Bazaar event

On Thursday night I was invited to the Guess by Marciano & Harper's Bazaar event. It was held in the Soho store in NYC which was closed to the public and allowed invites the chance to try any piece of their choosing from the spring/summer'11 collection. The store was filled with ballerinas in their beautiful sequined tutus and jeweled crowns from the Joffrey Ballet school. Champagne and hor'derves were served through out the night while great music played throughout the store by a live dj. See what I purchased for my Las Vegas trip this weekend. The whole collection is super sexy and chic. Great dresses for any event!

My version of the studded Burberry trench I made

It's the first weeks of May and the weather is still fluctuating from cold to warm. Even though summer is only 1 month away I'm still wearing my trench coat. In the mornings and nights it gets chilly and a nice thin trench is just the remedy. I've been  obsessed with the Burberry trench this spring season. It is studded along the entire sleeve(note it's over 4,000  and I've already made my huge fashion purchase for the year so I could not even think of buying it) So I came up with my own version and turned my Zara trench coat into my own interpretation. I went to M&J trim store in the fashion district and bought a pack of 48 studs. I spent about 2 days getting the studs on the collar and bottom of the sleeve, it was very painful on my fingers but worth it. It's still no Burberry but it does the trick!

Met Gala celebrating Alexander McQueen's life work

Alexander McQueen is known for breaking boundaries, being imaginative and bringing every girls wildest dream to life with a crazy shoe no one thought could ever have been made or a dress that looks like it was made way before its time. He was more than a designer he was an artist, the exhibit runs from now until August. The event was filled with tons of celebrities wearing there best and some wearing there worst. Many wore Alexander McQueen Gowns, Chanel, Stella McCartney and many other known designers.
